The 2021 award-winning work of "Nature Photographer of the Year" has been announced. [See all images] Amazing nature captured by the camera...Introducing 13 award-winning works of the Nature Photography Award Winners are selected for each category such as "mammal", "underwater", and "landscape". The overall winner caught a flock of pink-backed geese migrating to escape the cold.
Fitze commented: "A young alpine ibex takes a dreamy stroll through an alpine meadow. The flowers in the foreground and the sun shining through the haze in the background create a unique atmosphere. I was able to capture the beauty of nature and how this young ibex is living freely during the warm summer months.”
Burrard-Lucas says: "I have been fascinated by black panthers since I was a child. I have always dreamed of photographing them in Africa, but they are very Rare and elusive, I never thought it would happen, and when I heard about sightings of a melanistic leopard in Laikipia, Kenya, this was the once-in-a-lifetime experience I had been waiting for. I thought it might be my chance."
Budkov's comment: "The nature park on the Kamchatka Peninsula captures the eruption of Klyuchevskoy, the highest and most active volcano. The park is located near the Apakhonchich seismic observatory. The clouds above the crater are lit by hot lava, making it look like a fire-breathing dragon sitting on a mountaintop."
Inoue commented: "A few years ago, when I moved to the foothills of the Superstition Mountains in Arizona, I realized that Maru squirrels had a family. I wanted to show that they also think, feel and have emotions, so I decided to photograph them.” can be seen in The work won an award named after Dutch nature photographer Fred Hazelhoff.
Teijgeler's comment: ``During the spring I often visit the Amsterdam Aqueduct dunes in the evenings. I went to the bridge to look for foxes and cubs, and since I've been there so often, I've learned little by little about the behavior of some of the foxes, who regularly cross the bridge in the spring."
