"Song of Horror" Review --Game Watch

Fear side by side exploration. The content makes me want to know what will happen next, and I can't help but get hooked.

What I felt when I played this time was that the atmosphere of "fear" was expressed very well. If I take even one step inside the mansion, I might be attacked by darkness!? You are thrown into a haunted house in the dark and you don't know which way to go, and you wander around looking for an exit while feeling chills and fearing when youkai will attack you... that kind of fear pervades the whole story.

In fact, even the writer who loves occult horror and has read the magazine "Mu" for nearly 40 years, gets goosebumps every time he hears a sound while playing, or if something on the screen responds, there is no one around him. Even though he wasn't there, he distracted himself with a loud soliloquy. However, none of the riddles and puzzles that are set up are absurd, and they are all solvable if you do some research in advance. Therefore, even though I was scared, I ended up going back and forth in the mansion many times, which made me feel even more fearful.

Song of Horror Review - GAME Watch

The toughest thing would be the deletion of the save data when they are annihilated. Even though I know the strategy from the second time onwards, I wonder if I'll have to explore the mansion again with that tingling sense of dread... and it's pretty depressing to think about. Even so, before I knew it, I had a map displayed in my mind, and I was so enthusiastic that I thought, "Huh? I didn't check that place," or "Speaking of which, can I use that item in that scene?" In a sense, it could be said that I was hooked on the fun of solving mysteries rather than the fear.

Since there is a QTE-like operation, some action elements are included, but if you like horror but are not good at such games, you can enjoy it without any problems if you lower the difficulty level, and people who like mystery can also solve puzzles. you will be able to enjoy This is a title that I would like you to play once in this hot summer.
