Save downloaded videos to DVD or Blu-ray

Videos downloaded from YouTube and Instagram can be played back on a PC at any time using free playback software such as "VLC media player" and "MPC-BE". However, I would like to enjoy the downloaded videos on a large-screen TV. Even more so with 4K/8K videos on YouTube. Therefore, we will explain how to convert downloaded videos to DVD and Blu-ray respectively.

Convert the video file and save it to DVD

The MP4 file saved by downloading the video was copied as it is to a DVD-R, etc. It cannot be played on consumer electronics Blu-ray recorders or DVD players. It must be converted to DVD-Video format before burning.

"DVDStyler" can perform such conversion work and writing in one. Although it is free software, it is possible to create menus, etc., and it also supports Japanese.

In addition, if the file name or save destination is a Japanese name, it may fail with an error. If you can't solve it after trying several things, select "Create ISO image file" in the burning menu. Let's make an ISO image once and burn it with "ImgBurn".

Convert the video and save it to Blu-ray

It is the same when converting the downloaded video to Blu-ray. In order to play back on home appliance Blu-ray recorders, etc., the rule is to save after converting to a standard such as BDMV format or BDAV format. In the case of free software, it is difficult to do everything with one software, and it is basic to use two software for conversion and writing.

"multiAVCHD" is the standard conversion software, but it takes some tricks to master it, so it's better to get used to it by using the "Blu-ray creation" function of "DVDFab" first.

Install and launch DVDFab. Click "Experience" at the bottom to display the main screen. No registration is required. Select "Create" on the top menu and switch to "Blu-ray Creator". All you have to do is register the MP4 file here and press the start button.
