Reasons why Digital Hollywood University is working on drones
Shintaro Takahashi (hereinafter Takahashi): At the University of Digital Hollywood, there was a story about starting a research project on the effective use of drones just around last year.At that time, I was focusing on the potential of a drone in the future, and the story about the future, but one concern was that there was a large -scale accident using a drone or an incident.When it was, the very negative tone of the drone would be stronger.
Before that, we have been working on safety education as much as possible, and that there are institutions that acquire emergency formation.
Unfortunately, since the case of the Prime Minister's Office in April of this year, public opinion has been negative for drones and calling for regulations has become stronger.Of course, it is important to create rules for safe operation.
On the other hand, it is important to create positive cases as an educational institution.In other words, I am aware that it is important to develop human resources in the safety operation of drones and to deepen cooperation with companies.
From May this year, the University of Digital Hollywood has registered as a public member of the Japan UAS Industrial Promotion Council (JUIDA).And we plan to start a professional school on drones this fall.
