"Buy Later" by Kazuyuki Okajima
Kodak "Tri-X 400 Single-Use Flash Camera"
There are a lot of items in my Amazon shopping cart that I'm not going to the checkout as they are, but rather moving them to "buy later" to wait and see. Some of them are purchased at some timing, such as a price drop, and some are deleted when they wake up. In this series, I will deliver the contents of my ever-increasing "buy later" items, focusing on cameras and photography-related items. I don't have any impressions or evaluations since I haven't purchased any of them, but please enjoy Kazuyuki Okajima's daily material desires, such as what kind of things he is interested in and what kind of perspective he chooses.
Comes with Kodak "Tri-X400" 27 exposure lens, which became a hot topic on SNS at the end of last year It's a monochrome film. It is called a “disposable camera” or “one-time-use camera,” but once you have finished shooting and developed the film, you can no longer use it. I've always used the film inside, but I'm really curious about how this product will turn out.
The selling price is around 2,100 yen, and it seems that a shipping fee is required separately (as of February 18, 2022). In recent years, I've been buying film and photographic paper from B&H's online shop in the United States, where the selling price is $13 (approximately 1,500 yen) and the shipping fee is $18 (approximately 2,100 yen). It's cheaper to buy. By the way, if you buy two, the price will be about 2,600 yen per piece, and if you buy three or more, the overseas mail order will be cheaper. I only want to use it once, so I don't think I need that many.
As for monochrome film with lens, Ilford's "HP5 PLUS" has been on sale for a long time, and it also takes 27 shots at ISO 400. The selling price is about the same as around 2,100 yen, but you can purchase it with free shipping. There is also a monochrome film "XP2 SUPER" lens that performs color development processing (C-41), and the selling price is a little cheaper at around 2,000 yen. Color film development is cheaper than monochrome, and many shops support it. If you want to casually enjoy monochrome film photography, I think this is a good choice.
Another option is Agfa Photo's "AFPLBW36", but if you don't like disposables, you may want to look at the film camera mentioned in point 63 or the used camera market. . First of all, please take a look at "Akagi Camera".
