Using iCloud to synchronize contacts between Apple devices is a simple and reliable way.
Therefore, iCloud is still a popular option, but the iCloud bug may be stored in duplicate contacts.
Simply sign in to iCloud and sign out, causing problems in synchronization, and there are a lot of contacts that overlap the address book.Nobody wants that.
However, there are several ways to correct this easily, so I would like to introduce it.
If you have a Mac, you can use the contact app to delete the duplication of the iCloud address book.To do so, it is necessary to first confirm that iCloud contact information is synchronized with Mac.
If you do not synchronize, you will not be able to display contacts in the app.To check if it has been synchronized, click the "Apple Logo" at the top left of the Mac home screen and go to "System Environment Settings" → "Apple ID".
Make sure that the contacts are turned on in this "app on this Mac using iCloud".
Next, open the "Contact" app on the Mac.If you can't find the "Contact" app, start the "Spotlight" search using the shortcut of "Command+Space Bar" (see this past article for another method).
Enter "Contact" in the search bar and open the app. Here you can display all the inputs that overlap the contact list.
To find all duplications at once, go to the top menu bar and proceed to "Card" → "Search for duplication".
A few seconds later, the "Contact app" displays the duplicate number.
This pop -up has a checkbox and asks if you integrate multiple contacts that contain different information under the same name into one.
For example, suppose there are two John DOEs, one is a phone number, and the other is an e -mail address. If you want to integrate these two contacts into one, check this check box.
When you are ready, click "Integration" and the contact app will be the later work.
In addition, iCloud. You can use COM to manually select and delete duplicate contacts.
However, please note that this method cannot be used on mobile devices such as iPhone. To access iCloud contacts, ICLOUD on a laptop or desktop. You need to open COM.
First, iCloud in any browser.Access COM and sign in.
After logging in, click "Contact" to display the address book on the web. This displays all duplicate contacts.
In the case of a Mac, click the "Command" key, and in the case of Windows, hold down the "Control" key, and click all the duplicate contacts one by one.
After selecting all duplication, press the "Delete" key on the keyboard.
Then, a pop -up that confirms whether these contacts are really deleted, select "Delete" and delete duplicate input.
If you have 10,000 duplicate contacts and you can't select them manually, you can export the iCloud contacts to Gmail and eliminate duplicate with Google services.
However, using this method has the risk of losing all contacts, so it is important to understand the setup in advance.
Export all contacts from iCloud, import it into Google Contact, and delete duplicate there.
Next, delete all contacts from iCloud and import the contact list where the duplication has been deleted from Google Contacts to iCloud.
If you make a mistake on the way, there is a risk of losing contact information, so be sure to back up all your contacts and proceed carefully.
First, iCloud in any browserの連絡先にサインインします。
After opening the iCloud contact, click the gear icon in the lower left corner and click "Select".
iCloud. With all contact information in the com, click the gear icon again and select "VCARD Export".This will export a "VCF" file containing all contacts, so save it somewhere on your PC.
Next, log in to Google Contact with a browser. To avoid confusion, we recommend using a new Google account that has never stored contact information before.
After signing in, click the "Import" button on the left pane and click "Select File" in a pop -up.
Find and select files in the "VCF" format expanded from iCloud, and click "Import".
Google contact takes a few seconds to import all contacts. When completed, all the imported contacts are properly sorted into the left pane label. It is usually displayed as "Imported into Date".
After importing all contacts, select "Integration and Fix" with the left pane under the "Frequent Contact" button.
This displays all duplications and can be integrated. If nothing is displayed, update the page once and display it.
Check if all duplicate contacts are displayed and click "Integration".Finally, click the "Contact" button on the left pane to see if all contacts are integrated.
Next, export this integrated contact. In the case of Windows, press "Control + A", and in the case of Mac, select all contacts, and click the three -point icon under the search bar at the top.
After selecting "Export", in a pop -up, select "VCard" in "Name and Export", and click "Export".Save this file in a safe place on your PC.
Let's return the contact information that deleted duplicate to iCloud.
Return to the iCloud contact with any browser, press the lower left gear icon, and click "Select".Click the gear icon again and click "Delete" to delete all contacts from iCloud.
Once you have done that, press the gear icon of the iCloud contact again and select "VCard".

If you can't access your PC, use an iPhone app that can easily delete all duplicate contacts. It would be better if the iPhone contact app was sufficient, but unfortunately, I can't do that yet.
Therefore, let's use the third -party app to clean up this work.
I checked a lot of apps that could delete duplicate contacts, but I felt that most were too expensive or the privacy policy was unclear (or worrisome).
Fortunately, Duplicate Contacts Fixer is inexpensive and according to the App Store page that explains this app, we recommend using this app because it seems that data will not be collected.
The method is as follows.
You can use this app for one year after canceling automatic updates.
You can see how to delete the duplication of iCloud contacts. If you have the opportunity, check how to transfer all photos from iCloud to Google Photos.
