The smart device brand "realme" entered the Japanese market in April. As the first step, wireless earphones "realme Buds Q" and "realme Buds Air Pro" were released on April 15, but after May, a product called "realme Buds Wireless Pro" will also be released. I used a review terminal borrowed from the manufacturer prior to the release.
realme has released 5 products as the first to land in Japan, 3 of which are wireless earphones. Realme Buds Q (3480 yen) and realme Buds Air Pro (13,800 yen) will be released on April 15, and realme Buds Wireless Pro (9980 yen) will be released after May.The realme Buds Wireless Pro, which comes with an ear tip, is a neckband-type wireless earphone that connects the left and right earphones. Equipped with a large 13.6mm driver, it also supports LDAC. It also has a noise canceling function that removes external sounds up to 35dB.
Only yellow color. The earphones and neckband are black, giving it a cool and stylish impression. Realme is a brand that targets the younger generation, but it seems to fit younger people as well, so it is a coloring that I would like to recommend to fans of the Hanshin Tigers.
The cable is yellow and most of the rest is blackThe left and right earphones have built-in magnets that stick together when not in use. It connects when the magnet is removed, and disconnects when the magnet is attached, so there is no need to worry about wasting power if you forget to stop the music.
When not in use, the left and right earphones are attached by magnets and the connection is turned off. Equipped with a physical button that can be clicked, you can adjust the volume with "+" and "-", press the "○" (multi-function key) between them to pause / play, and click twice to play the next song. Skip to, press 3 times to return to the beginning of the song. However, you need to get used to pressing the middle of the button just by touching it. I intended to pause, but I repeatedly failed to raise the volume and lower it. Even the multi-function keys have protrusions, so it would be nice to be able to tell just by touching them...The remote control unit has two physical buttons and an indicator that indicates the charging status. It is also possible to activate the voice assistant by pressing and holding the multi-function key. I used it by connecting it to the OPPO Find X2 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro, and I was able to confirm that the Find X2 Pro started up the Google Assistant. Siri starts on the iPhone, but voice recognition doesn't work well, and I can't return to music playback from there.
The button that activates noise canceling is independent and can be pressed to switch between noise canceling mode and transparency (external sound capture) mode. You can also press and hold to switch to gaming mode, which enables low latency up to 119ms.
I listened to music with "YouTube Music" on OPPO Find X2 Pro and "Apple Music" on iPhone 11 Pro, and also checked the sound of "Netflix" on each.
I listened to various genres of music by connecting it to the OPPO Find X2 Pro and iPhone 11 ProThe volume could be increased considerably, and the sound quality was clear without distortion. The low range sounds solid, and the high range is clear and relaxed impression. I felt that the sound quality was comfortable not only in the noise canceling mode, but also in the transparency mode. Rather, in the noise canceling mode, although the sound was thicker, it felt like it was mixed with some miscellaneous tastes. Depending on the music you play, it feels like the naturalness fades. In addition, when I switched to the low-latency gaming mode, I heard a different sound quality. In other words, you can listen to your favorite sound quality by comparing the three modes of noise canceling, transparency, and gaming. Personally, I thought that was an advantage.
In addition, the "realme Buds Air Pro" released on April 15 also has a noise canceling function, but I felt that the realme Buds Air Pro had a clearer effect. There is no big difference as far as I feel.
When you receive a call, you can answer it by pressing once, and you can reject the call or end the call with a long press. Call quality was also good.
Charging is done from the USB Type-C port on the remote control. It can be fully charged in about 1.5 hours, and can play music for about 16 hours when using noise canceling and about 22 hours when not in use. Compared to the completely wireless type, the number of charging times is less, and it seems that you can keep listening to music all day long.
Approximately 100 minutes of music playback is possible with a 5-minute chargeAbove all, the neckband type is great because you don't have to worry about accidentally dropping it. I felt that it would be suitable for people who listen to music while commuting or people who jog while listening to music.
