Los Angeles-based Dispo announced yesterday that it has raised money in a series A round. According to Crunchbase, many celebrities participated in the round, including Sofia Vergara, Raven B. Varona, athletes Kevin Durant, Cara Delevingne, and prominent photographer Annie Leibovitz. The amount raised has not been disclosed.

Dispo had raised a Series A round (US $ 20 million) with Spark Capital's lead in February this year, but allegations of sexual assault by a former member of the YouTube team Vlog Squad, led by co-founder David Dobrik. As it came to light, Spark Capital announced that it would cut off its relationship with Dispo, and Dobrik had resigned from his Dispo board.

Dispo also announced that Keisuke Yoneaga was appointed as the representative (community manager) in the Japanese market on May 1. Dispo's first overseas recruitment for the first time. Prior to joining his Dispo, Mr. Yoneaga was the director of famous popular programs such as "Crash Park," "Ariyoshi Zemi," and "Ariyoshi no Kabe" on NTV.
