Casio Computer Co., Ltd., known as a hardware manufacturer for watches, digital cameras, calculators, musical instruments, etc., began working on the mobile application business in 2013. For some time, the company has provided support apps for smartphones as sales promotion and functional assistance for its hardware products, but there has never been a move to develop a business by itself in the form of pursuing profits.
Starting with the release of the iOS app "Chordana Viewer" that supports the creation of chords for songs in October 2013, the iOS app "Music Practice Tool" that checks the tempo and pitch of musical instrument performance and the synthesizer CZ of the past have been released. The reproduced iPad app "CZ App for iPad" was announced in quick succession. Furthermore, the release of "Chordana Composer" that can compose from humming became a big topic, and in March 2015, "Keyword Cue Voice Recorder" for iOS that can cue with text and "Take" that automatically generates character illustrations from face photos. Two new releases of "Tekara Studio" have also been released.
