On December 8, 2021, Aerosense announced that it had carried out continuous drone aerial photography during the live broadcast of the professional baseball "My Navi All-Star Game 2021" broadcast live by TV Asahi on July 17.
Using the company's wired drone system "Aerobo on Air" that supplies and controls power with a wired cable, we shot continuously for 4 hours and 30 minutes from the start to the end of the game. At the timing desired by the TV program production side, aerial images such as the inside of Rakuten Seimei Park Miyagi's stadium and the night view of Sendai City, the venue, are used for real-time broadcasting. It was an effort to increase the degree of freedom of program images in live TV broadcasting.
A bird's-eye view of the stadium taken aerial with "Aero Bo on Air"By using a photoelectric composite cable developed by the aircraft, it realizes long-time flight, real-time transmission of high-quality video, and safe flight by wired control, which is difficult with wireless drones. It is effective in live sports scenes that cannot be missed and in scenes that require continuous aerial photography. The flight preparation and withdrawal are about 10 minutes each, which is also a feature that the required time before and after shooting is shorter than that of a fixed camera. The video is compatible with 4K 30x zoom and full HD.
"Aero Bo on Air"In this shoot, I used the aircraft as one of many TV relay cameras. For video shooting of athletes in each position with a fixed camera, shooting control including flight altitude change and 30x zoom is performed from a maximum height of 90 m, and there is a bird's-eye view video, a close-up video of the player, a state of the audience, and a stadium. I took aerial shots of the night view of Sendai. By flexibly operating the aircraft and camera according to the instructions of the program, we provided high-quality aerial images in line with the Great East Japan Earthquake reconstruction support project, which is one of the production intentions.
